Architects start ‘new chapter’ with office move
A Leeds-based architecture firm is making a sustainable shift as it joins a growing community of innovative businesses in the city centre.
DLG Architects has relocated to Town Centre House, taking 1,910sq ft of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ workspace within Leeds’ Innovation District.
Bosses say the move supports DLG’s focus on sustainability and design excellence, with the firm repurposing existing furniture and equipment to minimise waste.
Andrew Gardner, partner at DLG Architects, said: “Thanks to the continued support of our wonderful clients and some amazing continuing and new projects, we are excited to embark on this next chapter at our new city centre location.
“The new office offers an outstanding, low-energy and sustainability-focussed working environment with improved amenity and collaboration areas.
“We feel this move will allow us to continue to expand our services, enhance client relationships, foster a stronger team and is a great fit for our future ambitions.”
The letting was secured by Town Centre Securities PLC and follows another recent deal with marketing agency Datum Group, who have taken 2300sq ft on the building’s fourth floor, reflecting strong demand for energy-efficient, flexible workspace in the city.
Matthew Wright, associate director at Town Centre Securities PLC, added: “We’re delighted to welcome DLG Architects to Town Centre House.
“Their sustainability-led vision and track record in transformational development make them a perfect fit for our repositioned building.
“This letting, alongside our recent deal with Datum Group, is further proof that businesses value high-quality, energy-efficient spaces that support collaboration, wellbeing and growth.”
