Energy firm plugs into new city centre headquarters
A clean energy firm has agreed an office move.
Apatura is switching to York’s Hudson Quarter.
The battery energy storage system company has taken 3660sq ft of space at the Grade A-listed city centre hub.
Its move was supported by real estate services firm JLL and Sanderson Weatherall.
York-founded Apatura was advised by Carter Towler, and will join firms including Knights, Great Rail Journeys and Arcadis in Hudson Quarter.
Christabelle Day, JLL senior surveyor, said: “For many potential occupiers, having somewhere that can support their sustainability ambitions is as important as providing a high-quality office space – and Hudson Quarter fits the bill for Apatura.”
Hudson Quarter was previously owned by Palace Capital, but was recently sold to commercial real estate firm STR Capital Partners.
Marcus Pearse Langlands, of STR Capital Partners, added: “Apatura needed a space that aligned with their efforts to support the UK’s transition to a greener economy.
“It will be a welcome addition to the community of exciting businesses that we are building at Hudson Quarter, and we’re looking forward to seeing the firm continue to thrive in its new headquarters.”
