Hybrid Planning expands with new office and hires
Award-winning urban planning consultancy Hybrid Planning & Development has relocated to a larger office near London Bridge as part of its ongoing growth.
The new Cole Street premises, double the size of its previous Hackney base, supports the firm’s expansion plans.
Since the move, Hybrid has welcomed two new recruits – graduate planner Elaine Lau and planner Sajjad Dar – and promoted Nickolai Rutherford to planner.
Claire Day, Hybrid’s director and co-founder, said: “The positive growth of our business has seen us secure new instructions for schemes in Acton, Cheltenham, East Ham, Enfield, Peckham, Westminster and West Berkshire as well as rolling out for national retailers, industrial occupiers, leisure and F&B operators, including numerous drive-thru facilities nationwide.
“This meant our team had outgrown our existing office and we needed a larger space to facilitate further development.
“Cole Street offered a modern yet characterful space.
“It’s open plan, meaning our teams can collaborate more easily and efficiently, but also has breakout areas for co-working, a private meeting room and a secure outdoor courtyard. In addition, the building is home to other property and development professionals so we were convinced it would be a great fit for the next phase of our growth.
Danielle St Pierre, Hybrid’s director and co-founder, added: “Our business has performed strongly in the last couple of years, with notable project successes including the completion of Munveer House, Ilford, within the Crossrail corridor; securing a trio of approvals in Wych Elm, Harlow, igniting the town centre’s masterplan; and change of use applications in Newham, Brixton and Leicester that will reinvigorate urban neighbourhoods with new homes and businesses.
“This positive performance meant the timing was right to take these important steps, strengthening both our team and our environment.
“Elaine and Sajjad offered the right mix of energy and experience and have both fitted in seamlessly, while Nickolai has proven to be an emerging talent.
“With the new office now fully operational, we’re confident we have the right premises and people to achieve further success.”
