Gateshead-headquartered agency Mediaworks has appointed Kevin Telford to its executive board as a non-executive director, supporting its AI-driven growth strategy.
Kevin brings global experience in AI, data strategy and digital transformation, with senior roles at Transunion, Thoughtworks and Acxiom.
He has led AI initiatives for FTSE 100 firms, advised on government data transformation and was named among the DataIQ Top 100 for responsible data leadership.
At Mediaworks, Kevin will focus on the strategic use of AI to boost marketing performance and deliver smarter, more cost-effective results for clients.
He also holds non-executive roles at FinPact, MoneyMatiX and FinTech North.
Kevin said: “Mediaworks has a strong reputation for innovation and I’m excited to join the team at a time when AI is reshaping how businesses approach marketing and digital.
“My focus will be on helping clients adopt AI in ways that are not only commercially impactful, but also strategically sound.”
Kevin’s appointment comes as Mediaworks continues to grow across its UK offices in Newcastle, Leeds, London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Brett Jacobson, chief executive of Mediaworks, added: “Kevin’s appointment marks a significant step forward in our AI-led strategy.
“His deep understanding of how AI can transform business performance will be invaluable in helping us stay ahead of client needs, while also guiding our partners on how to embed and maximise AI across their own operations.”
