Resonance appoints two female leaders

Manchester-based social impact property fund manager Resonance has appointed Erika Brodnock MBE and Verena Hefti MBE to its investment committee for the Resonance Community Developers Fund.

The fund supports communities by creating income-generating assets like affordable homes, sports facilities, and renewable energy projects.

Erika is an award-winning entrepreneur, angel investor and AI coaching platform co-founder, with roles at King’s College London and LSE.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to Resonance’s mission to provide life-changing homes and support for people facing crisis.

“It is an exciting time for the organisation and I’m excited to play a role in the next chapter of its journey.”

Verena, chief executive of Leaders Plus, is a social entrepreneur focused on advancing working parents into senior leadership to tackle the gender pay gap.

She hosts the Big Careers, Small Children podcast and was awarded an MBE in 2021.

Verena added: “I’m excited to add this role to my wider mission of making a difference in society and I hope my journey – securing a competitive investment committee role while pregnant and holding a CEO position – will inspire others in the Leaders Plus community to go for opportunities, no matter their circumstances.”

Resonance chief executive Daniel Brewer added: “Erika and Verena bring a wealth of experience in leadership and impact, which will be invaluable as Resonance Community Developers helps an increasing number of communities across England.”
