Double Eleven’s Kimberley Turner Joins Entrepreneurs’ Forum Board
The Entrepreneurs’ Forum has announced the appointment of Kimberley Turner, CFO and Commercial Director of Middlesbrough-based independent gaming studio, Double Eleven, to its Board of Directors.
A qualified Chartered Accountant with a sharp commercial mind and a deep-rooted passion for entrepreneurship, Kimberley brings with her a wealth of strategic experience from one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech companies.
On her appointment, Kimberley said, “I am delighted to join the Board and very much look forward to representing Double Eleven and SMEs which make up around 80% of businesses across our great region.
“The Entrepreneurs Forum is built on a foundation of strong leadership, creativity and curiosity along with a bold determination and willingness to try new things. There is a unique energy and shared sense of purpose that ignites when like-minded people join forces.
“I’m excited to contribute positively to the Forum, sharing my experience and supporting the Board, our members and partners, and helping to ensure our region remains at the forefront of global ambition and positive progress.”
Recognised for her resilience, leadership and commercial flair, Kimberley was named Tees Businesswoman of the Year in 2022, an accolade she used to champion the values of courage, calculated risk and self-belief in business.
Kimberley joins existing board members Brian Palmer OBE (founder of Tharsus), James Robson MBE (founder of Exwold), Kari Owers (founder of O.agency), Mike O’Brien (co-founder of Opencast), Pamela Petty (founder of Entreprenising), Toby Bridges (executive chair of NBT Group) and chair Brendon Hayward (co-founder of OSBIT).
She also joins recently appointed board members Richard Lane (co-founder of durhamlane) and Sarah Thackray (co-founder of BeaconHouse Events), who both joined earlier this year.
On her appointment, chair Brendon Hayward said: “Kimberley is a fantastic addition to the board. Her insight, energy and experience in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business environment will be invaluable as we continue to support and inspire the region’s entrepreneurs.”
