Durata eyes growth with Tolley Fabrications deal
A critical power and data centre mechanical systems firm has expanded with a takeover.
Durata has bought Tolley Fabrications.
The deal adds in-house fabrication to Durata’s portfolio, which bosses say leaves it “poised to capitalise on unprecedented global demand for data centre solutions”.
Known for providing services including installation, operation and maintenance of critical power equipment, Middlesbrough-based Durata works across sectors including healthcare, finance, energy and education.
Based on Tursdale Business Park, near Durham City, Tolley Fabrications makes structures including landing platforms, chutes and tensioner towers for the offshore, marine and renewable sectors.
And its expertise, says Durata managing director John McGee, will bolster the company’s presence across the ever-growing data centre network to support cloud service, smart device, artificial intelligence and internet demands.
He said: “This acquisition is not simply about achieving greater efficiency and operational control, it represents an investment in our long-term capability and significantly strengthens how we deliver for clients worldwide.
“With our fabrication capabilities now in-house, we have complete control over the entire design, build, delivery and ongoing maintenance process, enabling us to move faster, work smarter and remain responsive to customers' evolving needs.
“As artificial intelligence, cloud technologies and smart devices reshape industries worldwide, we’re leading the way in providing the critical infrastructure that powers this transformation.”
Alan Tolley, Tolley Fabrications’ founder, added: “We have worked hard to build a strong reputation for quality, precision and reliability, and now have the opportunity to take that expertise even further.
“Becoming part of Durata will allow us to expand our reach and evolve our capabilities.”
