Pegasus Group takes flight with Leeds office move

A property consultancy is strengthening its Northern presence with a new Leeds base.

Pegasus Group has relocated to Capitol at Bond Court, where more than 40 staff will support the firm’s growing multidisciplinary offer.

The move forms part of a wider UK expansion, following office upgrades in Newcastle, Bristol, Cambridge and Edinburgh.

Bosses say the new office is the “perfect springboard” as the consultancy looks to strengthen its planning, environment and heritage offer, as well as launch an urban design service to enhance its capabilities in commercial and residential development, including strategic land promotion.

They add Pegasus is also looking to grow its work in renewable energy, supporting UK-wide projects in solar, wind and bioenergy from its new Leeds hub, with planning director Chris Binns having been appointed to spearhead the consultancy’s ‘grid-led’ approach to helping developers secure land and connections in line with the Government’s energy reforms.

Chris Calvert, executive director at Pegasus Group’s Leeds office, said: “Having led the team in Leeds since we first moved into the city in 2007, it’s been incredible to see our journey over the past 13 years and to see that momentum has not slowed.

“The new office is a perfect springboard to not only better serve the needs of our existing clients, but to build a team that can offer them more.

“Our team has a strong reputation for its energy sector work, which we will continue to nurture and build.

“Now with our strengthened team in a city centre location, we are excited to work on new opportunities with our residential and commercial clients that are shaping urban centres across the North.”

Douglas McCormick, chief executive of Pegasus Group, added: “It’s great to see our colleagues in Leeds moving into a new location.

“Our national growth drive is on track to deepen our support for existing clients and broaden our services to new ones.

“Chris and his team’s work in Leeds is set to play a crucial role in our UK-wide plan.”
