Robson Laidler earns national recognition
A North East accountancy practice has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK, thanks to its focus on wellbeing, flexibility and staff development.
Robson Laidler Accountants, which has a team of 96 across offices in Jesmond and Chester-le-Street, has been listed in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 for the second year running.
The firm, which was the first North East organisation to achieve B Corp accreditation in 2021, scored an 84 per cent engagement rate in the nationwide survey.
Now in its 104th year, the company has introduced a four-day working week, neurodiversity training, wellbeing initiatives and a quarterly staff roundtable to foster a supportive culture and greater transparency.
It also runs an in-house training academy and maintains an 89 per cent annual staff retention rate.
Amy Park, co-managing director, said: “I’m incredibly proud of the culture we’ve built – one where our people feel genuinely valued and rewarded.
“To be nationally recognised for the second year running as one of the UK’s best places to work is a true testament to the people-centric approach we take every day.
“In today’s competitive labour market, building a workplace where employees feel they belong and want to stay is no small achievement.
“This recognition not only highlights the strength of our culture and commitment to employee wellbeing but also enhances our reputation as an employer of choice.”
