Broadband firm eyeing growth with funding boost
A commercial broadband provider is dialling up growth plans after securing financial support.
Glide Student & Residential is targeting university cities and commercial estates.
The plan comes after the Clevedon-headquartered operator was backed by NatWest to boost its Wi-Fi network.
Officials say the cash will support expansion across the student accommodation sphere and build on existing services in Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and London.
They say it will also boost commercial sector growth by increasing connectivity for “SMEs on remote business parks”.
Tim Pilcher, Glide Student & Residential chief executive, said: “We look forward to building this new partnership as we expand our fibre network to ensure customers receive the connectivity they rely on in today’s digital world.”
Stuart Allison, NatWest relationship director, added: “Glide Student & Residential has been a valued customer for many years and we are thrilled to support the team’s continued growth.”
