Builder secures Village Hotels expansion contract
A builder has secured a contract to deliver a multi-million-pound hotel extension.
Russell WBHO is expanding Village Hotels’ Solihull site.
The contractor is adding 48 rooms in a four-storey development at the West Midlands base.
Work is expected to be completed early next year.
The contract adds to an existing partnership between Manchester-based Russell WBHO and Village Hotels, with the builder working to add nearly 50 rooms to a sister site in Ashton-under-Lyne.
Gareth Russell, Russell WBHO managing director, said: “We’re proud to continue building our relationship with Village Hotels.
“This latest contract reflects the success of our collaborative design process, which has created new hotel and bedroom layouts that will boost capacity across the Village Hotel portfolio.”
Andrew Weisz, Village Hotels’ head of property, added: “We’re delighted to have appointed Russell WBHO to extend our Solihull base.
“The work forms part of our significant investment programme.”
Russell WBHO’s Village Hotels contracts add to a string of projects with accommodation providers across the last decade, which include work with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Accor, Premier Inn, Motel One and Radisson.
