Firm feeling buoyant after quay expansion deal
A storage and distribution firm has expanded its operational footprint.
Port Clarence Logistics has bought a River Tees quay.
Bosses say the site – at Haverton Hill, near Middlesbrough – offers “enhanced mooring, loading and unloading capacity” and will strengthen the company’s presence in the offshore energy, renewables and engineering sectors.
They add the one-acre hub, which will complement existing riverside bases, could play a role in the Teesside Freeport, which promises tax reliefs and simplified customs and planning processes.
Part of the Wilton Group, PC Logistics supports the operational needs of firms including Wilton Engineering, Denholm Universal and several third-party tenants.
Stephen Browell, PC Logistics’ site logistics and shipping manager, said: “The new quay marks a significant step in the continued development of our Tees-based operations.
“It gives us even more flexibility to support the complex requirements of existing and future customers.”
