Tech company grows with software firm agreement
A technology firm has expanded with a takeover.
TXP has bought software company Metatech Solutions.
Officials say the deal – completed for an undisclosed sum – will see Metatech deliver IT consulting, development and people resourcing support to TXP’s “diversified blue chip customer base”.
Known for automation apparatus that supports a computer-aided software engineering tool, Newcastle-based Metatech counts clients across the finance, insurance, healthcare, aviation and automotive sectors.
John Antunes, chief executive at Midlands-based consulting and development firm TXP, which is backed by Aliter Capital, said: “This acquisition comes at an ideal time for both businesses.
“We know the team at Metatech very well, and know how much this deal will broaden our existing credentials and add unique automated solutions, scarce technical skillsets, knowledge and experience.
“This specialist know-how will be a vital element in delivering significant pipeline projects and generating new opportunities.”
Andy Scott, Metatech director, added: “We look forward to working with John and the TXP team in the next phase of the business’ development.”
