Cyber firm to create jobs after 'very strong' year
A cybersecurity firm is creating jobs as it bids to build on a “year of very strong growth”.
Precursor Technology Group has unveiled plans to recruit 15 staff across the second half of the year.
Bosses say they will add eight roles at the consultancy’s Newcastle-based security operations centre, with further posts across its Leeds and London sites.
The move comes after the company recorded a 70 per cent rise in annual sales and doubled its headcount to nearly 40 staff.
It also follows a six-figure investment from the North East Growth Capital Fund, via NEL Fund Managers.
Scott Cardow, chief executive, said: “It has been another year of very strong growth.
“Our offensive security team in Leeds continues to expand, the security operations centre in Newcastle has been onboarding clients on a weekly basis, and our London office is thriving.”
Chair Neil Stephenson added: “The team’s ability to scale and its commitment to delivering innovative services make it one of the most exciting companies in its sector.
“And with further investment in threat detection and intelligence, the company is positioning itself as a leader in the next generation of cybersecurity.”
