Land firm reveals 90-home estate local plan blueprint
A land promotion firm has unveiled 90-home estate plans.
The Strategic Land Group has secured a 6.7-acre site on Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s local plan.
Officials say the blueprint, for a field in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire, would “tackle a housing crisis… by delivering high-quality” homes alongside tree lined avenues, a central square and children’s play area.
They add the proposed scheme – supported by Emery Planning and Thrive Architects – would boost Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s local plan, which aims to deliver 8000 homes.
Paul Smith, managing director of The Strategic Land Group, said: “Newcastle-under-Lyme is experiencing a shortage of new homes and is required to meet fairly ambitious targets within its local plan.
“This site is ideally situated for residential development and will support the local authority to meet its target of 400 homes per year.”
The Strategic Land Group, based in Manchester, operates across the residential and renewable energy sectors, and has a promotion portfolio it says has potential to deliver more than 2500 homes and 40,000 sq metres of commercial space.
