Birstall’s enevo makes top workplace list
A building consultancy has earned national recognition for its workplace culture and employee support.
enevo, headquartered in Birstall, West Yorkshire, has been named one of the UK’s best employers in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.
The fast-growing business, which rebranded from C80 Group, employs 47 people and delivers building safety, compliance and certification services nationwide.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2025, enevo started life in a Yorkshire spare bedroom and has since expanded into a multidisciplinary consultancy serving clients across the built environment sector.
The company received praise for its employee-focused approach, which includes flexible working, healthcare cashback options and clear progression paths.
Mark Heptonstall, chief executive at enevo, said: “People are the lifeblood of any business, and we’ve made it our mission to recruit not just highly skilled people, but those who share our values and have the human touch.
“We always look to build lasting relationships rather than simply tick off jobs.
“That approach means we end up putting people first, which results in doing the right thing for our staff, our clients, and their projects.
“While this recognition is for the business, it’s one that I fully dedicate to the team – we simply wouldn’t be where we are without them, their hard-work and unwavering drive.”
