Carbon prints its mark on Newcastle
A tech solutions company is expanding into Newcastle.
Sustainable print and digital workflow firm Carbon has opened its first English office at Cobalt Business Park.
Bosses say the six-figure investment aims to support clients across the North East with tailored cloud-based print and digitised document systems.
The expansion follows Carbon’s move into Scotland’s Central Belt.
Stewart Hunter, new regional director for Carbon, who brings more than 22 years' experience in the print industry, said: “Opening an office in Newcastle was a natural next step for us.
“Newcastle and the wider North East represent a huge opportunity, not just in terms of business growth, but in how we can better support clients we already work with in the region.
“Having a regional presence will allow us to deliver a personalised service.
“There is significant potential across a range of sectors, including education, legal, manufacturing and the energy industry.
“I’m proud to be leading our efforts here and look forward to contributing to the business community across the North East and beyond.”
Headquartered in Aberdeen, Carbon has seen rapid growth in recent years, increasing revenues to £3.8 million and completing more than 1300 installations in its last financial year.
Colin Yule, managing director, added: “The North East is home to a dynamic and growing business landscape, and our Newcastle office puts us in the perfect position to support that with innovative, secure and energy-efficient solutions.”
