All smiles as dental practice expands
A West Yorkshire dental practice is set to grow with a new “state-of-the-art” surgery opening later this year.
Dentistry @ Holme, based in Huddersfield, is expanding into the nearby village of Slaithwaite following a £350,000 investment.
The new 2300sq ft premises will be the practice’s second location, offering family, cosmetic and implant dentistry alongside specialist periodontal and endodontic services.
Founded in 2021 by Dr Daniel Jenkinson and co-director Sam Jenkinson-Cooke, the business builds on Daniel’s two decades of experience, including ten years delivering NHS dental care across the Huddersfield area.
Daniel said: “Our new Slaithwaite practice will be almost three-and-a-half times bigger than our Holmfirth site and will be set over two floors, giving us the room we need to grow into the space over the next couple of years.
"We are investing heavily in bringing state-of-the-art dental technology to the practice.
“A dental chair itself is around £25,000 and we need several, and we're also investing in digital scanners and a CBCT machine, which is essentially a CT scanner for detailed 3D dental imaging.
"We also hope to start offering sedation for treatments where appropriate, and the new practice gives us the space to introduce the equipment that is required for that service.”
Co-founder Sam added: "With continued growth in demand for private dentistry services at our Holmfirth practice taking us close to capacity, our second location will ensure we can accommodate existing and new patients when they want to be seen.
“Slaithwaite has been on a radar as the location for our second practice for a while now, and we're delighted to have found the perfect location.”
