Debére marks milestone with growth drive
A North East accountancy firm is marking a decade in business with a series of promotions and an office expansion.
Debére, based in Washington, has promoted four team members to associate director and expanded its office space as part of a long-term plan for succession and continued growth.
Founded in 2015 by Tony Tomlin and Claire Miller, the firm, which works with SMEs, entrepreneurs and individuals across the UK, has grown from a turnover of £400,000 to over £2 million and now employs 24 people.
They say the new associate directors – Rebecca Swales, Chloe Peel, Jessica Russell and Harry Cooper – will support business operations while Tony and Claire focus on developing the business.
Rebecca said: “Celebrating Debére’s ten-year anniversary is a proud moment, especially having been one of the firm’s first employees back in 2015.
“It’s been an incredible personal journey, from starting as an accounts trainee to completing my ACA and CTA qualifications and now being promoted to associate director.
“I couldn’t have got here without Claire and Tony’s support and guidance; their leadership has been instrumental throughout my career.”
Tony added: “Reaching ten years in business is a proud moment for us.
“What began as a small team with a clear vision about what clients really want and that has grown into a thriving, client-first practice.
“These promotions and plans are all about setting the business up for long-term success.
“We’re particularly proud of the relationships we’ve built with clients as well as referrers and the team we’ve developed to serve our clients into the future.”
