Simply Accelerates Growth with West Yorkshire Supply Chain
Simply, a West Yorkshire-based manufacturer of disability equipment, is making impressive strides across the public and private sectors - including local authorities, the NHS, and schools.
Their recent surge in growth, driven by contracts and job creation, has been powered by the West Yorkshire Supply Chain programme, which has unlocked new opportunities and provided vital support to help the company scale.
Although firmly rooted in West Yorkshire, Simply, faced a major hurdle when looking to expand into new territory. Breaking into the North East proved particularly challenging, as the company had no prior presence or established network in the region.
The breakthrough came with the attainment of ISO 9001 certification, which was achieved with a grant and specialist business support from RTC North under the West Yorkshire Supply Chain Programme. This internationally recognised standard for quality management systems equipped the company with the credibility and assurance needed to bid for new contracts.
ISO 9001 enabled Simply to recruit four new engineers as well as purchase another unit in the North East as ISO 9001 allowed them win work in the area. The programme played a pivotal role, offering guidance and support that enabled the company to navigate the complexities of these new markets.
Additionally, they are now awaiting a response from a second council area regarding another contract application in the same region. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it marks the company's first foray into the North East.
The combination of ISO 9001 certification and the support of the West Yorkshire Supply Chain programme, delivered by RTC North, has been instrumental in the company's recent success. By enabling them to secure new contracts and expand into new territories, these initiatives have significantly contributed to the company's growth and development. This case study exemplifies the importance of quality standards and supportive programmes in facilitating business expansion and success.
Georgie Parkinson, Service Delivery Manager at Simply comments:
“The support RTC North has provided us with has been invaluable. Securing the funding to enable us to achieve our ISO 9001:2015 certification has allowed our business to grow substantially. RTC North have been with us every step of the way, helping us to achieve our business goals.”
