Milestone reached as The Keystone is unveiled
A commercial development has reached a key milestone with the topping out of a new “landmark” building in Leeds.
Real estate developer Vastint UK has unveiled The Keystone at Aire Park, its newest seven-storey office building offering 75,000sq ft of Grade A workspace and nearly 7,000sq ft of flexible retail and leisure space.
Positioned as a gateway from Leeds train station, The Keystone boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop terrace and nearby green space, having been earmarked as one of the city’s most sought-after commercial spaces.
Designed by architects Cartwright Pickard, the building targets BREEAM Excellent and WELL certifications, placing sustainability and occupier wellbeing at its core.
The Keystone’s first tenants are expected to move in next year.
Michael Cronin, head of portfolio at Vastint UK, said: “We are incredibly proud to introduce The Keystone to Aire Park and the Leeds South Bank.
“More than just a visually striking building, The Keystone will become home to a vibrant community at the heart of Aire Park where city centre convenience, nature and wellbeing work hand in hand as part of the area’s wider regeneration. “
Peter Cartwright, director at Cartwright Pickard, added: “This is a great milestone for our team and a major step forward in the delivery of Aire Park and its next chapter.
“The Keystone is a high-performing, sustainable workplace rooted in its context.
“The form and footprint reflect its role as a key gateway into the Tetley Triangle and wider Aire Park.
“With a curved bullnose, the scheme addresses the city with confidence, while the green glazed brick at ground level connects it to the public realm and Leeds’ heritage.”
