Equity Energies names new managing director
Equity Energies has appointed Maureen Bray as managing director, marking a year since the consultancy was launched by FTSE 100 group DCC plc.
Maureen brings more than 15 years’ experience in global energy and sustainability consulting, with previous senior roles at 3Degrees and Schneider Electric.
She will now lead Equity Energies’ strategy and growth, supporting industrial and commercial clients on their net-zero transition.
Maureen said: “I’m thrilled to join Equity Energies at such a pivotal moment.
“In just one year the team has built an impressive foundation, helping organisations reframe what is a significant challenge into a powerful opportunity – improving efficiencies, reducing waste, and increasing generation and consumption of sustainable energy.
“I look forward to accelerating our mission in delivering equitable, high-impact energy and climate strategies for organisations across the UK.”
David Taylor, commercial director at DCC Energy GB, added: “The launch of Equity Energies enhanced DCC’s portfolio in the UK, complementing the integrated offer of the Group to progress towards a more sustainable future.
“Maureen’s deep expertise in energy and climate strategy will be instrumental as we enter our next phase of growth.
“Under her direction we will continue delivering outstanding results for our clients whilst broadening our impact.
“Her arrival comes at a time when the reduction of energy waste and emissions and the acceleration of decarbonisation has never been so crucial.”
