NC Group adds HR leader to board
NC Group has appointed HR professional Julie Knight to its board as a fractional HR leader, following the training provider’s recent Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rating.
Julie brings over two decades of experience, having served as HR director at SK Chilled Foods.
Now working independently, she will lead the development of a people-focused HR strategy at NC Group – supporting talent development, legal compliance, and long-term growth.
Julie said: “I’m delighted to join NC Group, having worked with the business for many years in my role at SK Chilled Foods Limited.
“The team has a clear vision for growth, and I’m looking forward to supporting that by implementing a strong, sustainable people strategy that nurtures talent and drives a positive culture across the business.”
The appointment comes as NC Group continues to expand, now employing 28 staff, including six fractional specialists.
Based in the North East, MC Group delivers apprenticeships and training courses with a focus on engineering and manufacturing.
Ian Nelson, joint chief executive of NC Group, added: “We are fortunate to have someone of Julie’s HR experience join the business at the board level.
“The appointment reflects our commitment to placing people at the centre of our business strategy.
“As we continue to grow, her insight and guidance will be key in continuing to shape an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with our values.”
