Rheal ranks in UK’s fastest 100
Sunderland-headquartered Rheal Foods has been named one of Britain’s fastest-growing private businesses, placing 19th in The Sunday Times 100 list.
The superfood brand, which was founded by Charlotte Ali and her husband Sean in 2017 and is known for its health supplements, reported a three-year annual sales growth of 141.97 per cent, with turnover hitting £25.5 million.
Topping this year’s list is Glasgow-based activewear company DFYNE, which achieved 517 per cent growth and £66.8 million in sales.
Collectively, the 100 businesses generated £3.4 billion in the past year and have created 10,500 jobs in three years, will all of the firms planning further hires in the next 12 months.
Rheal is among a select group of high-growth companies based outside London and one of 28 in the ranking with female founders or co-founders.
Jon Yeomans, business editor of The Sunday Times, said: “The Sunday Times 100 is the definitive annual ranking of Britain’s fastest-growing private companies and demonstrates the remarkable entrepreneurial spirit thriving across Britain.
“DFYNE’s meteoric rise is a testament to the power of innovation and resilience in the private sector.
“It’s inspiring to see how these businesses are not only achieving phenomenal growth but also creating thousands of new jobs and opportunities."
