Quora marks milestone year with record turnover
A Tyneside-based engineering firm is marking 20 years in business with a record growth milestone.
North Shields company Quora Group has reported £15 million turnover as it celebrates two decades of delivering mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services across the UK.
Founded in 2005 as a small operation focused on general installations, services and repairs, the business now employs more than 120 staff and operates from a 5000sq ft headquarters at the Tyne Tunnels Trading Estate.
Bosses at Quora, which rebranded from Gastech in 2021 and has since secured major contracts including work on the AESC Giga Factory, in Sunderland, and Newcastle’s Bank House development, on Pilgrim Street, attribute the firm’s success to early digital adoption, strategic recruitment and a focus on quality and adaptability.
Craig Firth, managing director of Quora Group, said: “Over the past 20 years, Quora Group has mirrored the resilience and resurgence of the North East business landscape, and the whole team is thrilled that everyone’s hard work has resulted in a record year.
“Reaching 20 years is worth celebrating, and it is testament to the commitment of our team and the trust our clients put in us to deliver for them.”
With a strong portfolio of clients, including Brims Construction and SES Engineering Services, Quora Group is aiming to “shatter” its latest turnover figure in the year ahead.
Craig added: “The next financial milestone is a £20 million turnover, and we remain focused on our core values: delivering high-quality projects, fostering strong client relationships, and embracing innovation.
“This commitment positions Quora Group for continued success and underscores our role in the North East’s thriving future.”
