Durham firm goes global with hair solutions
A Durham-based hair system company is accelerating its international growth and training services.
Novo Cabelo, known for its non-invasive hair replacement solutions, is expanding its global presence with a new state-of-the-art recording studio at its Murton headquarters.
The facility enables live streaming of training to stylists and barbers worldwide, with Canada set to be the first international market to access the service.
Rob Wood, founder and creative director of Novo Cabelo, said: “The recording studio is an exciting moment for the company and will enable us to educate and live stream training of our courses globally, the first stream to Canada is now in hand and we can’t wait to expand our reach across the globe.
“We are working with the Department of Business and Trade to help aid this international growth and we are very excited about taking flight globally as we fly the flag for our sought-after concept.”
Already operating in Romania, Dublin and the Netherlands, Novo Cabelo has gained recognition through multiple awards and key industry partnerships, including a recent collaboration with The Katie Piper Foundation to support burn survivors with hair restoration services across the UK.
The company’s growth is driven by rising global demand for hair systems, catering not only to men experiencing hair loss but also women, children, cancer patients and the transgender community.
Rob added: “Our goal has always been to empower people to feel confident and look their best.
“There’s a high demand from a male client base suffering from hair loss and our hair systems offer a great option for people who don't want surgery.
“We want to utilise our platforms to spread positive messages and to normalise hair systems and tell the story of clients from different backgrounds.
“Our hair systems are not about vanity or telling people they should have hair; it’s about personal choice and giving an option to people who may feel they have lost their identify.”
