Operator makes return with care home deal
A care home has a new owner.
Hillcroft nursing and residential care home has been bought by Gugan Healthcare.
Based in Wordsley, near Stourbridge, the 28-resident site supports people with physical needs and those living with dementia.
The West Midlands base was previously operated by Astley Care, which has five further homes across the Midlands and Cheshire.
The deal marks Gugan Healthcare’s return to the sector, having offloaded its previous care home in North Wales last year.
The sale – completed for an undisclosed sum – was brokered by business property adviser Montane Care, which operates within the Buxton-headquartered Montane Group.
Darren Edwards, Montane Care healthcare agent, who led the deal, said: “Hillcroft has been a trusted and highly-respected provider of nursing and specialist care services for more than three decades.
“This transaction reflects the continued demand in the market for well-run, reputable care settings.”
Parthi Kandasamy, Gugan Healthcare owner, added: “I am grateful to everyone involved for helping make the transition a positive one.”
Kareem Baig and Andrew Stilton, of Newhall Solicitors, represented Astley Care on the deal.
Rachael Brown and Stephen Hiscocks, of Cardiff-headquartered Howells Solicitors, advised Gugan Healthcare.
