Clyde Munro appoints new chairman
Clyde Munro, Scotland’s leading dental group, has announced a three-year multi-million-pound investment plan to drive growth and improve patient care across its 65 practices, serving around 500,000 patients nationwide.
As part of this expansion, Clyde Munro has appointed Chris Howell as chairman.
Chris brings extensive experience from roles at Kodak Alaris, D&D London and Bensons For Beds, and will strengthen the group’s leadership during this period of growth.
He said: “I am delighted to be working with such a great business where the entire organisation is deeply committed to improving access to quality dental care across Scotland.”
The plan focuses on upgrading practice infrastructure, expanding clinical teams – including 18 new dentists this year – boosting recruitment in rural areas, as well as investing in staff development through its advanced dentistry academy, in Perth.
The group will also continue advancing its use of digital and AI technologies to enhance patient access and care.
Jim Hall, founder and chief executive of Clyde Munro, added: “We have always been focused on improving access to high-quality dental care across Scotland.
“The sector has had its challenges with the shortage of dentists of late, but we have remained committed to navigating these.
“This new strategy is a testament to ensuring that more patients across the whole of Scotland can receive excellent care.
“We are excited to welcome Chris as chair and believe his experience and input will be invaluable as we embark on this next stage of growth and development.”
