Engineer fashions growth with Quantum deal
An engineer says it is set to fashion fresh market growth after completing a takeover.
MARCH has bought Quantum Controls and Q Electrical Industrial Services.
Bosses say the agreement strengthens national operator MARCH’s “ability to deliver critical asset care and maintenance services”.
Operating from bases in Prudhoe, Northumberland, and Pencaitland, near Edinburgh, Quantum employs about 100 staff and works across the design, installation and maintenance of variable speed drives, panels and motors used across sectors including water utilities and manufacturing.
Under the terms of the deal, Quantum’s management team, led by managing director Dan Fitzsimons and supported by founder Kevin Brown, will remain in post.
Christopher Kehoe, MARCH chief executive, said: “Quantum’s broad capabilities and support for all major equipment brands aligns with our focus on energy-efficient, sustainable solutions, enhancing our asset care services.”
Kevin Brown, Quantum founder, said: “This marks an exciting new chapter.
“With MARCH supporting us, we’re in a great position to improve our services and drive future-focused innovation.”
MARCH operates sites across Scotland and the North East, North West, Midlands and South East of England.
