Hatters unveil new home shirt with a purpose
A football club is making strides in sustainable sportswear with its latest home shirt.
Luton Town has partnered with Doncaster-based performancewear brand Reflo to launch the first-ever fully recyclable home kit in English football.
Designed using Reflo’s Reloop™ technology, the 2025/26 shirt is made entirely from recycled polyester and can be mechanically recycled at the end of its life.
Featuring the club’s signature orange with dynamic tonal graphics and a bomber-style crew neck, bosses say the kit celebrates both heritage and progress.
Gary Sweet, Luton Town’s chief executive, said: “We are delighted to launch our partnership with Reflo with this unique kit.
“The Supporters’ Trust have been involved in the design process from the very start, and the fans who have seen it already have been impressed.
“We can’t wait to see the lads play in it, and look forward to a long, ground-breaking partnership with Reflo as we seek to make the club sustainable in every sense.”
Rory MacFadyen, co-founder and chief marketing officer of Reflo, added: “Luton Town are setting a new standard.
“This isn’t just a kit - it's proof innovation and legacy can work hand-in-hand.
“We’ve built them to perform, but more importantly, we’ve built them to last, avoid landfill and be reborn.
“This is the future of teamwear, and we’re proud to build it together with Luton.”
