Stockton dealership races ahead with award
A motorcycle dealership has gone up a gear with national recognition for customer service.
The Vertu Honda motorcycles dealership, in Stockton, has received the Yushu Award from Honda Motorcycles, placing second in the country for sales experience.
Bosses say the award highlights the team’s dedication to delivering consistently high standards, with recognition given to the entire team, including senior managers.
They add the award places the Stockton team, including general manager Kevin Newell, sales manager Kenn Taylor and service manager Craig Swainston, among the very best in the country for customer experience in the motorcycle sector.
Robert Forrester, Vertu chief executive, said: “This is a fantastic achievement by our Stockton team.
“To be recognised nationally for delivering outstanding customer service is a testament to the hard work, professionalism and customer-first ethos of Kevin, Kenn, Craig and everyone at the dealership.”
Introduced by Honda in 2022, the Yushu – meaning “excellence” in Japanese – scheme rewards top-performing dealerships across the UK in both the motorcycle and automotive categories.
Chris Taylor, Vertu group operations director, added: “The development of our teams at Vertu Motorcycles over the long term is something we take great pride in.
“Representing the Honda brand locally gives our teams great pleasure, with customers at the heart of all we do.”
