Timber firm branches out with £3.5 million outlay
A timber processing firm says it is ready to cut further into the marketplace following a £3.5 million equipment outlay.
Arbor Forest Products has refreshed an MDF mouldings range and added a low-pressure treatment tank and baling line to its North Lincolnshire base.
Bosses say its mouldings investment represents a UK first and delivers “precision sanding” work while improving operational efficiencies.
Based at New Holland, near Barrow upon Humber, the firm – known for products including timber decking and roofing battens – has also expanded storage space.
Gwyn Tuxford, head of manufacturing, said: “We’ve always been focused on producing the best possible MDF product, and this latest investment takes us to the next level.
“The introduction of precision sanding equipment not only enhances the final finish, but also improves workflow and safety.”
