Filtronic bolsters global commercial team
Technology firm Filtronic, headquartered at NETPark, in Sedgefield, County Durham, has expanded its commercial leadership with two senior appointments to accelerate growth in global space and defence markets.
Mark Bown joins as director of businessdDevelopment for the European space sector, while Peter Stocken takes on the same role across defence and space in the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Both bring decades of experience from BAE Systems and have worked closely with international space agencies, governments and defence primes.
Their appointments come as demand rises for Filtronic’s high-frequency RF and mmWave technologies in LEO, radar and secure communications.
Antonino Spatola, chief commercial officer at Filtronic, said: “Mark and Peter bring significant industry experience that will be instrumental in supporting Filtronic’s international growth strategy.
“I’ve seen first-hand the impact they can make – not just in developing business, but in building long-term, strategic relationships with customers.
“Their combined experience will be a huge asset as we expand our footprint.
“They understand the sectors we operate in and bring the energy and vision that fits with Filtronic’s ambitions.”
