Investor grows portfolio with storage firm deal
A real estate investor has expanded with a storage firm deal.
Paloma Capital has bought and rebranded Greenspace Self Storage.
Based on the outskirts of York, the firm operates from a 28,500sq ft base, providing storage units from 20sq ft to 255 sq ft.
Bosses at Paloma Capital say the agreement boosts an ongoing £1.25 million redevelopment of York North Business Park.
Formerly known as Green Park Business Centre, the site has been refurbished in recent years, with a new 12,500sq ft warehouse and office set to be complemented by four further industrial buildings totalling 34,400 sq ft.
Jeremy Thiagarajah, Paloma Capital director for asset management and investment, said: “We are delighted to relaunch Greenspace Self Storage in line with our overall investment at York North.
“York North is situated in an exceptional location with great connectivity, and we are committed to maximising the value of the estate through repurposing existing buildings, as well as adding new accommodation.”
London-based Paloma Capital was established in 2015 and is wholly owned by founding partners Joe Froud and Jack Pitman.
