Copeland locks in growth with contracts deal
A Wirral-based security company is growing its North West footprint after acquiring a series of contracts.
Copeland Group Services has taken on contracts from Rochdale firm MJ Tyson Security, boosting its presence in Greater Manchester and adding a six-figure sum to annual revenues.
Bosses say the work includes guarding, CCTV monitoring and keyholding services at distribution centres, commercial premises and construction sites, alongside rights to the MJ Tyson brand.
Kyle Disley, chief executive of Copeland Group Services, said: “The contracts acquired from MJ Tyson Security are an excellent fit.
“This move marks a new chapter in our continued growth and commitment to providing exceptional, future-focused security services across the UK.
“With over 22 years of trusted experience in the industry, MJ Tyson has built a reputation for reliability and professionalism.
“Its clients will benefit from an even broader range of expertise, innovation and support with the Copeland Group Services family.
“The operational delivery of services previously managed by MJ Tyson will be seamlessly handled by our dedicated team, ensuring no disruption or decline in service standards.
“A number of staff from MJ Tyson have moved across to Copeland, and they are a welcome addition to our ranks, augmenting the experience and knowledge we have in our existing team.”
Headquartered in Bromborough, Copeland was founded in 2003 and now employs more than 80 staff.
It provides mobile patrols, alarm response, CCTV system installation and lone worker support across the UK, working with clients in construction, hospitality, property and distribution.
Copeland was advised on the deal by Chris Gardiner, director at Gardiner Russell Accounting.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
