Property firm expands with city office park move
A property firm has expanded its portfolio with a commercial hub deal.
Overcliff has bought Leeds’ City West Business Park.
Bosses say the deal – completed for an undisclosed sum – will see work carried out to “invest in buildings… and refurbish the reception area”.
The 93,000sq ft, three-building base neighbours the M621 and houses firms including Regus, Cennox, Ascensor and Sedgwick.
Salford-based Davlea Estates has been appointed office park manager, with the Leeds offices of property consultancies Knight Frank and Sanderson Weatherall acting as joint letting agents.
David Reisner, of Davlea Estates, said: “My client purchased the property as they felt the building was in a great location and in very good condition.
“We met plenty of agents, but Knight Frank and Sanderson Weatherall demonstrated their market expertise and both had a lot of passion, which is what we need to let the space.”
Elizabeth Ridler, Knight Frank office agency partner, said: “Following this significant deal, we will be asset managing and working with existing occupiers who want to grow their presence on this office park.”
Richard Thornton, of Sanderson Weatherall, added: “It is great to be advising Davlea Estates, which is undertaking a contemporary refurbishment of the reception areas and upgrading the space.”
City West Business Park was previously owned by Harbert and asset managed by XLB Property.
