bdht appoints director of resources
Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) has appointed Lisa Martin as its new director of resources, strengthening its leadership team.
Lisa, a qualified accountant with more than 20 years’ experience in social housing, joins from Elim Housing Association.
She now leads bdht’s finance, IT and governance functions and is focused on building strong processes and a robust business plan to support strategic decision-making.
Lisa said: “I’m fundamentally responsible for the financial management of bdht and making sure we meet all of our legal and regulatory requirements and continue to be a financially viable and well governed organisation.
“This includes leading bdht’s digitalisation journey and ensuring all of our IT systems are working efficiently and effectively and that we are operating in line with the latest legal requirements.
“There’s a lot happening within the sector right now, especially since the change in Government.
“The pace of industry developments is rapid, and it’s essential we are clear about what the current national priorities are, how they are filtering down and shaping our ongoing transformation agenda and future direction, and the financial implications of it all.
“It’s crucial we deliver the right priorities in the right order and that we are meeting our legal obligations at all times.”
