Beever and Struthers appoints global IFRS leader
Manchester-based Beever and Struthers, chartered accountants and business advisors, have announced that audit partner Joe Diston has been appointed as the new Global IFRS Leader for HLB International, the global advisory and accounting network.
Joe, who joined the firm in 2023 and became partner this year, will lead IFRS strategy and technical alignment across HLB’s global network.
He brings over 15 years of Big 4 experience, specialising in IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP, with expertise in cross-border reporting and IFRS conversions.
In his new role, Joe will promote consistency and quality in international financial reporting, working closely with member firms to implement best practices.
Joe is also a non-executive director at Wickersley Partnership Trust, supporting financial governance for 13 schools.
He said: “It’s an honour to step into this role for HLB International.
“Strong financial reporting is essential to trust and transparency, especially for businesses operating across jurisdictions.
“I’m excited to contribute to shaping our global approach while continuing to deliver value to clients here in the UK through my work at Beever and Struthers.”
Joe’s appointment highlights HLB’s commitment to robust and aligned global reporting.
Maria Hallows, executive partner at Beever and Struthers, added: “We are incredibly proud to see Joe take on this prestigious global leadership role.
“His technical expertise and people-first approach demonstrate the standards we uphold as a firm and across the HLB network.”
