Deakin’s Yard opens doors to students
A North West property developer is celebrating the completion of a student housing scheme in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Integritas Property Group has delivered Deakin’s Yard, a 273-unit student development previously known as the Sky Building.
Now fully let for the 2025/2026 academic year, the site offers studios, apartments and accessible rooms, along with a resident gym, cinema, garden and study spaces.
Partnering with student lettings specialists Curlett Jones, IPG says the scheme marks its largest project to date.
Mitchell Walsh, chief executive of Integritas Property Group, said: “I’m incredibly proud to see the completion of Deakin's Yard.
“This transformation is a significant step forward for Newcastle-under-Lyme and IPG.
“Having transformed the site from an unsightly eyesore into a space that will greatly benefit our student population, while also attracting investment opportunities to the area, everyone at IPG is over the moon that it’s ready to welcome students this August.”
Deakin’s Yard is close to Keele University, Staffordshire University and the Royal Stoke University Hospital, with the first students moving in from August 15.
The project follows a series of successful developments by IPG, including its Bijou and Optima sites, which have attracted strong investor interest and rental yields.
