TVCA appoints two interim directors
The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) has unanimously approved the appointment of two experienced interim directors.
Jo Moore was appointed interim group director of finance and resources and Jodie Townsend was approved as interim monitoring officer at a TVCA cabinet meeting on July 25.
This will allow the authority to undertake a full and wide-ranging recruitment process for these critical senior roles while maintaining effective and robust leadership.
Jo Moore brings a wealth of experience in public sector finance, having held senior finance and leadership positions across various local government and public sector organisations.
These include roles as executive director of resources at the London Borough of Enfield, interim strategic director resources at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, as well as interim chief finance officer of CIPFA.
Jodie Townsend also joins the authority with extensive experience in governance, legal services and compliance.
He has held a number of monitoring officer and governance roles at combined authorities and brings a deep understanding of local government law and standards.
