Industrial services firm 'on track' for record year
An industrial services firm that began life above a fish-and-chip shop says it is on track to net a record year.
RECOM Solutions is targeting £20 million-plus turnover across its current financial period.
Bosses say the Salford-headquartered operator’s progress is being fuelled by a “burgeoning order book” and a six-figure funding package that is supporting growth plans and job creation.
Operating across the healthcare, education, retail, commercial and residential sectors, the business’ management consultancy arm counts the redevelopment of the Old Quadrangle at the University of Manchester among its portfolio.
Its main contracting division worked on the £7 million Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Oldham, with its passive fire protection venture, which installs and maintains safety walls, doors and ceilings, working nationally with hospitals, education providers, government departments and social housing organisations.
Co-founder Jason McKnight said he was proud of the progress made by the business, which employs 56 full-time staff.
He said: “We had a vision to raise standards in construction and consultancy, and to do things better than others in passive fire protection.
“We’ve developed three outstanding business units with their own leadership teams, and have prided ourselves on developing talent across the company and giving young people an opportunity.”
Fellow co-founder Joseph Dillon added: “Our pipeline for the next decade will be supported by construction intelligence evolving along with our client base.
“We’ve developed the business nationwide, and are looking to organically grow our offering and services further, including expanding our client network.”
