Jewellery firm 'set to sparkle' after triple move
A handcrafted jewellery and accessories firm has hailed a “turning point” in growth plans after completing a triple move.
Tutti & Co has rebranded as TUTTI and opened a concept store in North Shields’ Harbour House business hub.
It has also appointed Helen Williamson as its fractional managing director.
Founder Kate Rose says the trio of announcements represent a “serendipitous” moment in the evolution of the firm, which has retail agreements with Fenwick and John Lewis.
Highlighting its new home in Harbour House – which counts tenants including an artisan bakery and yoga studio – she said: “Turning points in business don’t usually come 20 years in, and certainly not while walking down a back street in North Shields.
“Finding our new home at Harbour House coincided with being introduced to Helen at a business event, and everything just clicked into place.
“I would never have picked a pretty store on a high street for the brand, which is why we’ve never had our own shop until now.
“But the space at Harbour House is more than a store.
“We have designed our concept store to be a calming space filled with scented oils, where customers can see our studio designers at work, view our collections and collaborate with us, before enjoying a coffee and pastry, doing a yoga class or buying some flowers all in the same place.”
Helen, who was previously boss at clothing brand Whistles, added: “I wanted to return to my native North East and give back my years of experience and expertise in the fashion industry and help more scaling businesses achieve success.
“Being able to do that in the beating heart of North Shields’ regeneration, just steps from where I grew up, is a dream come true.”
