Work completed on delayed Hexham scheme
A residential scheme hit by financial collapse has been completed.
Developers have finished work on Prospect House, in Hexham.
The 16-unit scheme had stalled after contractor Lok Developments 05 fell into financial difficulty.
However, the project – which includes a three-bedroom townhouse – has now been delivered by turnaround firm Leonard Curtis.
The national operator appointed Newcastle-based Xsite Architecture and Gateshead residential contractor Aston Walker Developments to support the scheme.
It also appointed Hexham and Newcastle-based sales and lettings firm Brunton Residential to oversee marketing of Prospect House, which includes 12 two-bedroom sites and three one-bedroom bases.
Development management consultancy Incrementum provided additional support.
Nick Myers, who worked as joint administrator alongside Alex Cadwallader, said: “We were committed to adding value to the asset by continuing with the works – using local North East property companies as far as possible – and delivering the finished build to a high standard.
“Without our collective intervention, the unfinished development would have remained mothballed for some time.
“While it was a challenge getting the site back up and running, we are delighted with the results.”
