Electricity North West powers up new look
An electricity operator has unveiled a fresh identity.
SP Electricity North West has introduced a new name and logo as part of its integration into the Iberdrola Group.
Following Iberdrola’s majority acquisition earlier this year, the company now aligns with the ScottishPower brand across the UK.
ScottishPower has become the country’s second largest distribution network operator, supplying electricity to around 12 million people through over 170,000 kilometres of network from Stirling to Stockport.
The new branding features the Iberdrola/ScottishPower green leaf, blue drop and orange flame symbols, representing renewable energy sources.
Bosses say the updated look will gradually appear across the company’s website, social media channels, depots, vehicles and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Stephanie Trubshaw, SP Electricity North West’s chief operating officer, said: “We have always been champions of this wonderful part of the country and – as SP Electricity North West – that will continue, with our customers and communities at the heart of everything we do.
“As part of the Iberdrola and ScottishPower family, we will use our collective strength to be a force for good as we continue to invest and deliver the modern and resilient electricity network the North West needs as we head towards a clean energy future.
“Alongside my colleagues across the business, I’m excited to begin the next stage of our journey as SP Electricity North West.”
Keith Anderson, chief executive of ScottishPower, added: “The roll-out of the new SP Electricity North West name and logo strengthens the collective identity of all our network licences under the ScottishPower and Iberdrola banners.
“It builds on the history and legacy of Electricity North West as a trusted partner, connecting communities and keeping electricity flowing every day – a commitment that doesn’t change as we continue towards a better future, quicker, for everyone.”
