Power Plastics secures fresh Government backing
An engineering firm behind water treatment apparatus has secured a five-year Government agreement.
Power Plastics has received renewed approval from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for use of its baffle curtains in UK-wide public water supplies.
Used in treatment and industrial process plants, the Thirsk-headquartered company’s apparatus directs water flow to reduce stagnation.
Phil Sellers, technical director at the business, which has further bases in Bradford and Stockton, near Middlesbrough, said: “We are delighted to have extended approval for our baffle curtain system and the materials used in our drinking water product range through to the end of 2029.
“This achievement reinforces our reputation as a trusted partner to the UK water industry and our steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that support the effective management of drinking water supplies.”
The firm’s water sector portfolio also includes odour control covers, removable tank covers and sludge cones.
