Health firm eyeing US growth with new backing

A healthtech start-up is aiming to “supercharge its growth” in a multi-billion-dollar US market after securing expansion support.

Daiser has joined the Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) US Accelerator.

Bosses say the move will connect the North East-headquartered firm “with key operations and personnel in the US healthcare market and… better equip Daiser’s operations and visibility”.

They add company founders Mike Trenell and Adam Wootton will attend trade missions in Maryland, Washington DC, California and Arizona, which “will take them to the heart of the US healthcare market”.

Established last year, Daiser’s artificial intelligence native Lego brick-style platform helps digital health innovators deploy solutions fast and securely.

It was earlier this year named a partner of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council EdgeAI Hub.

Mike said: “ABHI’s healthcare connections and understanding of the digital health industry will supercharge our growth in what is a fiercely competitive US market.

“The sad truth is that getting digital health solutions into the hands of end users is too difficult, takes too long and is too expensive.

“So we’ve created a platform that works towards a world where healthcare is connected, preventative and accessible for all.”

Sophie Green, ABHI international accelerator manager, added: “We are delighted to have Daiser join us on the programme.

“Daiser is an exciting platform that solves a lot of pain points in the delivery of innovative digital health solutions.

“We will equip them with the necessary tools and connections to confidently grow in the US healthcare system.”
