Credas appoints chief technology officer
Cardiff-based software company Credas Technologies has appointed Neil Williams as chief technology officer.
Neil joins from Sero, where he was interim chief technology officer, bringing more than 20 years’ experience at BT Group and senior technology leadership roles at Alcumus and ActiveQuote.
At BT, he helped establish and lead the digital centre of excellence, working on high-profile projects including BT.com and BT Sport.
Neil will lead Credas’ technology roadmap, supporting expansion into new sectors and international markets while addressing growing global compliance demands.
He is also an ambassador for Velindre Cancer Centre, Credas’ core charity, with a charity football match planned in August to support the centre.
Neil said: “In my role at Credas, I’m focused on scaling our technology operations with a strong emphasis on governance and resilience.
“By leading a talented team and leveraging AI to enhance customer experiences, we’re driving innovation across our SaaS platform.
“This positions Credas for sustainable growth and continued success in an increasingly competitive landscape.”
Credas continues to grow its UK and international footprint, recently launching the Compliance Wallet and Credas Payments, while maintaining its status as the UK’s highest-rated IDV app with over four million downloads.
Tim Barnett, chief executive of Credas, added: “Neil’s experience in building technology with robust governance and resilience is exactly what we need as we enter the next phase of our growth.
“Our mission is to simplify compliance for customers in regulated industries, and Neil will play a vital role in ensuring our technology continues to deliver on that promise at scale.”
