Homes by Carlton adds to team with double hire
North East housebuilder Homes by Carlton has strengthened its team with the return of Leigh Walton as senior site manager and the appointment of Dan Holyoak as head of construction.
Leigh rejoins the company more than 20 years after first working with Homes by Carlton, taking the lead on the £13 million Saxon Vale development in Sadberge, County Durham.
Leigh, a National House Building Council award-winner, said: “When Homes by Carlton launched in 2000, I worked on the very first projects the company delivered.
“To return now, more than two decades later, feels really special.
“25 years ago, we were a small team with big ambitions.
“Now the company has grown into one of the region’s most trusted housebuilders, delivering hundreds of homes for families across the North East.
“To become part of that journey again by overseeing what really is a special site in Saxon Vale, fills me with enormous pride.”
Dan, who brings extensive construction experience to the team, and will work across all the company’s developments, added: “Joining Homes by Carlton was a chance to once again work with some of the most talented, experienced, and determined staff in this industry.
“To work again with Craig and Leigh on so many incredible developments was impossible to turn down, especially for a company like Homes by Carlton, which is thriving.
“These next few years are going to be incredibly exciting, and it feels so good to be part of the team.”
Both hires previously worked with co-founder and vice chairman Craig Peterson in the late 1990s, making the appointments a welcome reunion.
Saxon Vale, a joint venture with Karbon Homes’ Next Level Developments, will deliver 46 high-spec homes and create around 30 new jobs, forming part of Homes by Carlton’s wider £100m North East development commitment.
Norman Peterson, co-founder and chairman of Homes by Carlton, added: “These are two crucial appointments and both have significant experience and knowledge within this industry, making them perfect fits to grow our company further.
“They really strengthen our already incredible team, and we are thrilled to have them both on board.”
