Vet practice expands with £400,000 investment
A family-owned veterinary group has expanded with a £400,000 move.
Harrison Family Vets has opened a Sheffield site.
Bosses say the Mosborough-based six-job venture will “provide high-quality, high-value care… in a family-oriented setting.”
Led by clinic director and veterinary surgeon Alvaro Lopez alongside fellow veterinary surgeon Gerard Coyle, the hub includes vet and nurse consultation rooms, a dental suite and an operating theatre.
The practice – which additionally counts nurses Jade Barratt and Rebecca Smith, and care co-ordinators Laura Pemberton and Helen Thomas on its staff – includes waiting room pods, which officials say shield pets from fellow animals to reduce stress.
The base builds on existing sites in Doncaster, Dudley, Leeds, Manchester, Reading, Stockton, near Middlesbrough, Stoke and Wigan.
Tim Harrison, managing director at Harrogate-headquartered Harrison Family Vets, said: “This is our second South Yorkshire practice after we opened in Armthorpe, near Doncaster, almost two years ago, and we’re keen to replicate the success we’ve enjoyed there.
“We’ve recruited a skilled and experienced team, and are creating an environment where everyone’s individual strengths and personality traits contribute to what we do.”
Alvaro added: “Launching this new practice, which is unlike anything else in Sheffield, is hugely exciting for our team.”
