Tech firm plans new jobs with £3 million investment
A tech firm has unveiled plans to increase its workforce by a third and expand globally after securing £3 million investment.
Aircards has been backed by Foresight Group.
Bosses at Newcastle-based Aircards say the support will “accelerate its growth strategy and unlock new opportunities in a rapidly expanding immersive technology market”.
They add it will allow the firm, which employs 32 staff and is known for digital signage product Invisionary and data analytics tool Metalitix, to “increase jobs by 30 per cent over the next few years”.
Under the terms of its investment deal, former Dentsu UK and Ireland boss Euan Jarvie will join its team as executive chair.
Michael Watson, Aircards’ founder, said: “This investment marks a significant milestone in our journey.”
Jordan Lavender, Foresight Group senior investment manager, added: “Aircards has demonstrated strong growth and we are excited to support the highly talented team on their next phase of growth.
“The North East is home to many ambitious and innovative SMEs, and this investment marks a meaningful step in our ongoing commitment to the region.”
